We appreciate to receive information, or requests about possible partnerships in, European consortia who want to react on calls in the EU Framework Programme, the Action Plan in the field of Public Health and other scientific or practice oriented EU programs. The Netherlands Institute for Health Promotion NIGZ is member of the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) and  EuroHealthNet.

NIGZ is involved in several European projects: The SHE network (Schools for Health in Europe network), Determine, Gradient and CompHP. Please look in the menu for further information about these projects. NIGZ is WHO collaborating centre for school health promotion.

Jaap Koot MD MBA (56) is the managing director of Health Institute NIGZ. With the appointment of Jaap Koot in september 2009, NIGZ completes a phase of reorientation towards working more independently from the Dutch government. Jaap Koot is an expert in management of public health. He worked in curative medicine; from 1995 he was an international consultant in public health, and from 2000 international consultant and managing director at Public Health Consultants (PHC) in Amsterdam.
